Kalkfeld is a settlement in Namibia, approximately 65 kilometers southwest of the town of Otjiwarongo. Kalkfeld is halfway between Otjiwarongo and Omaruru in the constituency Omatako, on the main road C33. The town and the surrounding areas are agricultural.

Kalkfeld was once a thriving village with important loading station for cattle. For 20 years, pulling away more and more residents and the few houses expire rapidly.

Dinosaur tracks

On the Otjihaenamparero farm approximately 29 kilometers outside at Kalkfeld are the 190 million year old fossilized dinosaur tracks of Otjihaenamaparero, since 1951 a National Monument in Namibia. To her visit to the farm a permit is required. Around 35 km south-east of Kalkfeld is the mountain Etjo.
