Kalle Randalu

Kalle Randalu ( born November 25, 1956 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian pianist.

Life

After studying at the Estonian Music Academy in Tallinn at Bruno Lukk Randalu went to Moscow, where he was trained by Lev Nikolayevich Vlasenko at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1988 he settled in Germany after he had successfully contested several international piano competitions in previous years. Today he is a professor at the University of Music Karlsruhe ( 2011).

The pianist is an international company with various chamber music works included, for example, by Gabriel Fauré, Carl Reinecke, Charles Koechlin, Zdeněk Fibich, Béla Bartók, André Caplet, Gideon Klein, Erwin Schulhoff, Johannes Brahms, Paul Hindemith and Peteris Vasks. The piano quintets by Brahms, he played along with the almond Quartet. The Second Piano Concerto by Raimo Kangro and the piano concerto of Lepo Sumera were also taken with him.

The jazz musician Kristjan Randalu is his son.
