Kamativi

Kamativi is a 940 m high altitude village with 1600 inhabitants (2006) in the province of Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. There it lies 40 km northeast of Detention on the road to Binga.

In Kamativi is a tin mine, whose reserves are the largest in the country and also in Africa and have a SnO2 content ( cassiterite ) of 70%. The promotion, however, collapsed in the political turmoil of the time, such as the Zimbabwe Standard reported on 21 May 2006.

In Kamativi there is a hospital. In the village the military is garrisoned. There are entertained there four so-called youth training camp for the previously optional decisive militias and thugs ZANU -PF.

In Kamativi is an airstrip.
