Kamenný Přívoz

Kamenný Přívoz ( German stone Überfuhr ) is a municipality with 1,120 residents and numerous weekend houses belonging mainly citizens of Prague. It is located in the district of Prague Czech -West ( okres Praha- západ ).

The municipal area extends along the lower reaches of the Sázava four kilometers south of the city Jílové near Prague.

The municipality Kamenný Přívoz the villages Kamenný Újezdec ( Steinaujestetz ) Hostěradice ( Hostieraditz ) and Žampach include ( Pochmühle ).

History

The oldest district Hostěradice was originally a farm on the trade route from Prague to Austria. In the 11th century there was a settlement. 1205 was the property of the courts and the village to the monastery Ostrov. After the destruction of the monastery during the Hussite Wars, the property passed to the Lords of Lesany.

1520 was followed by the Lords of Týnec that it 1563 Lobkowitz family handed. These bequeathed it in the same year the Chapter of St. Vitus Cathedral. 1683 was followed by the surrender to the Lords of Lesany.

The main source of income of the village were timber industry, quarry work and the promotion of gold.
