The Kampen railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Kampen. It lies on the IJsselufer at IJsselmuiden and is a railhead on the Kamperlijntje also mentioned railway line Zwolle - Kampen. The route is not electrified. Although the station has two platform tracks, but only one is used. Originally the station was the terminus of the railway line Utrecht - Kampen.

Built in Art Nouveau style and held by its three towers, two of them left and right of the entrance portal, distinctively shaped reception station building dates from 1911 and is the second building of the railway station opened on May 10, 1865. The first, in 1863 finished building was a Nicolaas J. Kamperdijk (1815 - 1887) designed Typenbau the builder company Nederlandsche Centraal - Spoorweg - Maatschappij (NCS ).

In December 2012, the Hanzelijn was a rail link between Zwolle and Lelystad opened. At this distance Kampen received a new railway station, Kampen Zuid ( South Kampen ). The Kamperlijntje should then been converted into a tram, but on making this has since been waived because the bid was unsuccessful twice. The aim would be the reconstruction of the route until the end of 2013, but the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), the national railway company of the Netherlands, is expected to use the station until December 2015.

The station is served by trains every half hour from the NS or to Zwolle. Interchanges consist served by Connexxion Kampener city bus lines 11 and 12, the citizen bus 506, as well as to the regional routes 74, 141, 143, 682, 683 and 684
