Kanga Akalé

Kanga Gauthier Akalé ( born March 7, 1981 in Abidjan ) is an Ivorian football player.

Association

Akalé began his career as a professional in 1997 at the Stella Club d' Adjamé in his hometown of Abidjan before he was taken in late 1998 by the Swiss first division club FC Sion under contract. Without National League -A- use Akalé changed in the summer of 1999 to FC Zurich. By the summer of 2001, he was only a reserve player; However, he could more prevail, and came up to his move to AJ Auxerre for the year 2002/ 03 in the National League A total of 67 missions and was able to achieve eight goals. Even with Auxerre Akalé was a regular player.

In June 2007, he spent four million euros for RC Lens. He signed a contract until 2010, but was ineffective during the winter break the following season because Akalé was loaned to league rivals Olympique Marseille. In 2011 he moved to Lekhwiya in the Qatar Stars League.

Since the summer of 2012, he stands at AC Arles -Avignon under contract.

National

Akalé is since 2003 member of the national team of his home and since 2005 a regular player, he came in five of six games of the selection at the Africa Cup 2006, as well as in the lost finale, and all games (three) of his home selection at the 2006 World Cup for use. Overall, he played 33 times for the Ivory Coast, scoring three goals. (As of early 2008 )
