Lekhwiya SC

Lekhwiya Sports Club (Arabic نادي لخويا ) is a sports club from Doha in Qatar. The men's soccer team plays in the top league in the country, the Qatar Stars League.

The club in 1938 as Al- Shorta Doha was founded. The present name borne by the club since 2010. During 2009/10 the club reached the finals in the Sheikh Jassim Cup, where they lost in the final match against Al Arabi 0-1 and in the same year, the rise in the Qatar Stars League.

After the rise of the squad has been strengthened for the season 2010/11, among others, Aruna, Bakary Koné and Abdeslam Ouaddou. At the end of the season you could first win the championship. This track could again win in the season 2011 /2012.
