The Kanuti River is a 282 km long river in the Interior of Alaska between the south flank of the Brooks Range and the Yukon River. It flows westward and flows south-west of the Koyukuk River in Allakaket.

The bulk of the course and also the catchment area is located in the Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge.

The origin of the name goes back to the name of the Koyukon of the river, the Old Man 's River probably meant (' the old man ' flow). The name was first documented in 1885 and initially written " Konootena ". Between 1898 and 1913, prospectors also used the name Old Man River.
