Kapelludden lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a lighthouse Kapelludden on the east coast of the Swedish Baltic Sea island of Öland.

The standing on the headland Kapelludden red tower with the international registration number C 7270 has a height of 32 meters. The lighthouse is located at an altitude of 30 meters. The scope of the white beacon is 12 nautical miles.

The tower was built in 1872 as iron truss structure, designed by Albert Theodor Gellerstedt. Prior to the establishment of the lighthouse, the sailors oriented in days at the more southern ruins of St. Bridget 's Chapel and an ancient stone cross.
