Karel Kula

Karel Kula ( born October 22, 1963 in Český Těšín, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czechoslovak and later Czech football player and current coach.

Playing career

Karel Kula played in 1981 for the A- team of Banik Ostrava. After he was briefly used in 1982 by his youth club TZ Třinec, the defender played from 1982 to 1984 for Dukla Banská Bystrica, before he returned to Banik Ostrava. There he was finally to 1991 active, rather he made ​​the leap abroad and transferred to the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Bundesliga, where he scored six goals in 28 games. 1992 Kula went to SG Wattenscheid 09, where he remained until 1995. He then moved to the then Czech second division club and its training Fotbal Třinec. In early 1997 came Kula again the way to Banik Ostrava, where he ran aground within a few years in seasonally across 21 games. Beginning of 1998 went back to Kula Třinec, where he still played until the end of season 1998 /99. After a repeated change was announced abroad, specifically in the not far distant Burgenland, where he hired the then third division ASK Baumgarten. For the Czechoslovakian national soccer team Kula graduated 40 games in which he scored five goals; before that he was already on the Czechoslovak U-21 national team (15 international appearances ) and for the Olympic team of Czechoslovakia in action (1 game / 1 goal).

Coaching career

Karel Kula worked from 2006 to 2008 as an assistant coach at Banik Ostrava and from 2005 to 2007 at the same position in the Czech U-18 and U -19 national team. From 2008 to 2010 he was an assistant coach at Fotbal Třinec, then he acts in this position from 2010 when MFK Karviná. In the same year he was appointed as head coach of the club and held this office until 2012.
