Karen Davis (activist)

Karen Davis is an American animal rights activist, lecturer, writer and founder of the animal rights organization United Poultry Concerns.

Davis holds a PhD in "English " at the University of Maryland and met there even now a lecturer; she criticized repeatedly commercial farming. In 1990 she founded the animal rights organization United Poultry Concern and succeeded in 1999 to prohibit the usual leave in the U.S. forced moulting, which was triggered by a multi-day starvation diet in chickens.
