United Poultry Concerns

United Poultry Concerns (UPC ) is an American animal rights organization, for a welfare of poultry such as chickens, ducks and turkeys for food production as well as scientific reasons for entertainment purposes, and is involved as an ornamental poultry. The organization was founded by the animal protection rights activist and author Karen Davis.

Among the self-declared objectives of United Poultry Concerns is to make the public aware of how poultry " is handled by the company " counts. According to the UPC influenced the way as poultry, the health of the people, their ethics, their safety and the environment. The aim of the UPC is to educate the public about and actively provide alternatives. Public relations include the UPC serials, the organization of conferences and the provision of information. The slogan of the organization is "Birds are friends, not food" (birds are friends, not food) and " Turkeys are too neat to eat" ( turkeys are eating too nice ).
