Karey Kirkpatrick

James Karey Kirkpatrick ( born March 28, 1965 in Louisiana) is an American film director and screenwriter.

Life

After James Karey Kirkpatrick, the Baton Rouge Magnet High School visited in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he studied the film school of the University of Southern California. Already during his studies he got a job at Disney, so he worked on the screenplay for Bernard and the Beast (1990). After graduating in 1988, he appeared inter alia in improvisational theater SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, Florida. He wrote several screenplays such as James and the Giant Peach (1996 ), Honey, we've shrunk (1997) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) with, and made his debut with Over the Hedge (2006) as a film director.

2007 Kirkpatrick was awarded the Annie Award for his directing Over the Hedge. For his screenplay for Chicken Run - racing hens he was nominated for a Saturn Award in 2001.
