Karl-August Fagerholm's third cabinet

The Cabinet Fagerholm III was the 44th government cabinet in the history of the Republic of Finland. It held office from 29 August 1958 to 13 January 1959 ( 138 days ). He initially consisted of 15 ministers in 17 different departments.

The Social Democrat Karl- August Fagerholm led a majority government capable of Social Democrats, Land League, of the conservative National Coalition Party, People's Party and the Swedish People's Party. Thus, only the People's Democrats and an offshoot of the Social Democratic Party were not involved in the government. It was the first government established the largest party after the parliamentary elections of July 1958, in which the leftist Popular Democratic replaced the Social Democrats as the strongest and just ahead of them and the Land League. After the elections passed President Urho Kekkonen, the People's Democrats in the commission to form a government and instead instructed Fagerholm.
