Karl-Heinz Holze

Karl -Heinz wood (* June 30, 1930, † 11 June 2000) was a German football player (DDR ).

After the end of World War II, wood joined the newly founded People's Police Sports Association (SG VP) Greifswald. At age 19, he moved in 1949 in the state capital of Mecklenburg Schwerin, also for SG People's Police, who played this year in the country's second-rate league.

1950, the East German Ministry of Internal Affairs under standing Sport Central Association of the German People's Police was established. As a football focus of the sports association Dresden was selected, where just the GDR runner- SG Dresden- Friedrichstadt had been smashed for political reasons. The SV Dynamo moved in the summer of 1950, 40 players from the national police communities throughout the GDR in forestry for viewing together and exhibited them to the squad for the SG People's Police Dresden together, in the season 1950/51 the place of the SG Dresden- Friedrichstadt the highest DDR - Oberliga league took. Wood played as a right winger and made with Günter Schröter (later 39 times national player ) a successful attacking partnership. Wood completed 31 of 32 league games, scoring 12 goals and stood in the Pokalsiegerelf. With his winning goal in the championship decider against Aue bismuth (3:2) and his two goals in the Cup final against unit Pankow he was instrumental in both successes. In the league season 1953/54, scoring 12 goals and sandals again so was the top scorer of his team, the einkam time on rank 3.

After the league relegation wood 1957 came at the age of 26 years back in his home town of Greifswald and joined at the third-rate BSG unit. There, too, he continued playing on his traditional right-wing position, quickly became the guiding spirit of the team and a crowd favorite. Already in its second season, he helped Greifswald Greifswald unit in 1958 promoted to the first East German league. This was largely his 32 goals he scored in the 26 point games. After the 1964/65 season wood took 35 - year departure from active football after he had completed about 200 point - and cup games for the Greifswald in eight years.
