Karl Theodor Keim

Karl Theodor Keim ( born December 17, 1815 in Stuttgart, † November 17, 1878 in Gießen ) was a German Protestant New Testament scholar, theologian and church historian.

Life

The seminar Maulbronn Karl Theodor Keim was born on 17 December of the year 1815 in Stuttgart, taught in theology. From 1851 to 1855 he was Repetent at the theological faculty at the University of Tübingen and was deacon in 1856 in Esslingen am Neckar. As a student he was a member of the Royal Society Tübingen Roigel. Shortly before 1861, he was appointed at the University of Zurich as professor of theology. In 1873, twelve years after, he was appointed professor at the Theological Fakulätat the University of Giessen. Even as his health was struck; November 17, 1878, he died eventually there from neuropathy. In his final days, Karl germ was cared for by his sister; his brother Gustav was, however, died before him, on April 24, 1864.
