Karl Wahlmüller

Karl Wahl Müller ( born October 22, 1913 in Linz, † February 16, 1944 in Toila, Estonia) was an Austrian football player. The runner won the Austrian amateur team at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 the silver medal.

Career

Karl Wahlmüller played at SV Urfahr Linz in Upper Austria's league. The League was then aligned on amateur basis and was not related to the professional Austrian championship in connection, limited at that time only on the Wiener space. With the Urfahren the striker played for one of the then strongest teams of the state, was in competition with the LASK and Admira Linz. From coach Jimmy Hogan, he was taken to the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, although he had until then not played a game for the Austrian amateur national. Karl Wahlmüller occurred in all four games of the Austrians in Berlin as a center half for use with the team and reached the Olympic final, where they defeated 2-1 in extra time but with the Italian representatives.
