Karl Wilhelm von Dalla Torre

Karl Wilhelm von Dalla Torre (* July 14, 1850 in Kitzbuehel, Tyrol, † April 6, 1928 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian biologist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Dalla Torre ".

Life and work

He studied natural sciences at the University of Innsbruck. In 1874 he received his doctorate and habilitation in 1878 in Entomology at the University of Innsbruck.

Dalla Torre was an associate professor of zoology from 1895 and from 1921 professor at the University of Innsbruck.
