Karla crater

The Karla crater is incurred by a meteorite impact, visible impact craters on the Earth's surface in the Russian republic of Tatarstan.

Its diameter is 10 km and its age is estimated to be 5 ± 1 million years.

The crater is located west of the small town near the border with Buinsk Chuvashia. He was named after the river Karla, near the Buinsk in the right Volga tributary flows Sviyaga (Russian Карлинский кратер / Karlinski crater ).
