Kasane

District

Kasane is a town in Botswana, Africa with 9008 inhabitants ( 2011). It lies in the North - West District at the junction of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe on the Chobe, which also forms the northeastern boundary of the Chobe National Park and near the mouth of the Chobe in the Zambezi.

Due to the favorable transport infrastructure is Kasane destination for tourists. There is an airport which can be reached by scheduled flights from Maun, Gaborone and Johannesburg. Charter flights connect the lodges in other parts of the country with Kasane. There are road links in the Okavango Delta, direction Francistown Botswana to the south and in the Caprivi Strip to Katima Mulilo, Namibia and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. About a ferry across the Zambezi to reach Zambia and the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls.
