Two years later he was here as a carpenter finally settled in 1761 and opened a small workshop in which he " Bleyweißstefften " produced; in its time a typical activity of the carpenter craft. Efforts to raise the pencil to make a guild craft fair, failed due to the lack of approval of the Nuremberg Rugsamtes, which exercised the Labour Inspectorate in the imperial city and its surrounding region.
