Kasriel Hirsch Sarasohn

Kasriel Hirsch Sara son (also: Hersch, also Sarah 's son; * 1835 powiat Suwalski, now Poland, the son of a rabbi, † January 12, 1905 in New York) was an American writer and philanthropist.

Sara son emigrated in 1866 from Russia coming to the United States, where he among other things, In 1872 the first American Yiddish weekly newspaper New Yorker Yiddishe Tseitung and 1874 the weekly newspaper Di Yidishe Gazeten ( existed for over 50 years ) and then in 1885 the first Yiddish daily newspaper Yidishes Tageblat published. He was also a delegate to several Zionist congresses.

His son Ezekiel Sarasohn and his son L. Kamelka involved with different leaves, some of which still exist today, the journalistic tradition.
