Kastlösa

Kastlösa is a part of the municipality Mörbylånga locality ( Tätort ) on the Swedish Baltic island of Öland.

The village lies in the southwestern part of the island on the highway 136 South of Kastlösa, the village Bjärby is the fen Kvarnkärret. East of the town extends the barren landscape of the Great Alvar.

The Church of Kastlösa originated in the 19th century. During construction in 1952, the nave was divided into three areas. The interior is dominated by a large, Risen Christ pointing fresco.

In the village is the stone box discovered in 2011 by Kastlösa.

Personalities

The Swedish Social Democrat Sigvard Ohlsson was born in 1908 in Kastlösa.
