Kathleen Kennedy (film producer)

Kathleen Kennedy ( born June 5, 1953 in Berkeley, California) is an American film producer.

Together with her husband Frank Marshall, as she worked as a film producer, and director Steven Spielberg in 1983 she founded the film and television production company, Amblin Entertainment. In 1992, she also founded the production company with her husband, The Kennedy / Marshall Company, which are produced with films outside of " Amblin Entertainment".

Her debut as a producer, she was in 1982 with E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial. With this film, their still ongoing collaboration with Steven Spielberg, who directed the film began.

She and her husband have two children together.

In her career she has been nominated eight times for an Oscar. In 1997, she was honored at the Saturn Awards with the George Pal Memorial Award.

Since the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney in October 2012 Kathleen Kennedy manages all projects as the new President of Lucasfilm.
