Frank Marshall (film producer)

Frank Marshall ( * September 13, 1946 in Los Angeles ) is an American film producer, film director and actor. He is the brother of film composer Phil Marshall and son of composer Jack Marshall.

Life

Marshall directed the film Arachnophobia from 1990, Survival! from 1993 and Congo in the year 1995. For the last film he was nominated for the " Golden Raspberry ".

Frank Marshall is married to the film producer Kathleen Kennedy. Together with his wife and Steven Spielberg he founded in 1982, the company Amblin Entertainment, one of the most well-known production companies in Hollywood. In 1992 he founded together with his wife, the production company The Kennedy / Marshall Company, are produced with the films outside of Amblin Entertainment.

As an actor, Marshall took small supporting roles, including in the movie Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark. He also worked in various functions in several films, including as a production assistant on the film What's Up, Doc? from the year 1972.
