Katie Fforde

Katie Fforde ( born September 27, 1952 in London as Catherine Rose Gordon - Cumming ) is a British writer.

Life and career

Katie Fforde was born in 1952 in Wimbledon, London and spent her childhood. She is married since 1972 with Desmond Fforde, a cousin of the writer Jasper Fforde. The marriage produced two sons and a daughter. Your writing career began Katie Fforde after the birth of her youngest child with the 1995 novel, Living Dangerously. She brings many own experiences in her novels, which are created romantic. Her novel Going Dutch was in June 2007 to the top ten bestseller list of The Sunday Times.

Katie Fforde Katie Fforde Bursary is founder of, a scholarship that supports promising writer until the completion of a book contract. For many years she was a committee member of the British association of writers Romantic Novelists ' Association and was elected for the period 2009-2011 to the 25th president. In June 2010 she was appointed patron of the first National Short Story Week ( National Short Story Week ).

Katie Fforde lives with her family in Stroud in the southwestern English county of Gloucestershire.
