Katsudon
Katsudon (Japaneseカツ 丼) is a Japanese dish. The name is made up of tonkatsu ( breaded pork cutlet ) and donburi ( ceramic bowl). It is a bowl of rice, be given to the half-cooked egg and crispy chips.
It is one of the most popular donburi dishes, besides Tendon ( Tempura ), gyudon ( with beef ) and oyakodon ( with egg and chicken).
For Japanese students, it has become a ritual to eat before an important exam Katsudon because " katsu " is a homophone of the verb katsu勝つis that "winning " means.
