Katunayake ( Sinhala: කටුනායක, Tamil: கட்டுநாயக்க ) is a suburb of Negombo on the west coast of Sri Lanka about 30 km north of the capital Colombo. With just under 75,000 inhabitants, it is the second largest in the Gampaha district.

Here is the Bandaranaike International Airport is the only international airport in the country, who was both the seat of SriLankan Airlines, and 2001 ( civil sector ) and 2007 ( military area) target of classified as a terrorist organization the Tamil freedom fighters LTTE.
