Kaz & Co ( Original title: Kaz ) is an American television series from the genre Attorney series, the 1978 and 1979 by the production company Lorimar (including The Waltons, Dallas ) for the U.S. television network CBS produced over the years. Was shown as the main character Martin " Kaz " Kazinsky by the U.S. actor Ron Leibman.

Action

The petty criminals Martin " Kaz " Kazinsky is sentenced to six years in prison for car theft. In prison, he earned his degree as a lawyer. After his release, he starts as a junior partner in the firm of Samuel Bennett. With his partner, Peter Colcourt he can work so successfully, among other things, because he knows what goes on in the mind of criminals.

The newspaper reporter Katie McKenna is the girlfriend of Kaz. He lives in a small apartment above the nightclub his friend Mary Parnell, where he spends a lot of time and occasionally plays drums.

Background

Ron Leibman played the role of the lawyer Louis Kazinsky in the movie " Circled " ( Question of guilt ). He took the last name so much that he just took him for the series. It was shot the series in the Warner Brothers Burbank Studios in California, in which the time Lorimar produced his series.

Although Ron Leibman won with this role in 1979 an Emmy for best actor in a drama series, the series was not received by the public and was discontinued because of low audience ratings after only 22 episodes. In Germany, 18 episodes were shown.

In the opening credits of the individual episodes, the history of Martin Kazinsky is shown in brief settings. Beginning about the arrest while attempting to car theft on the study of books in prison until receipt of attorney diploma. In recent pictures to Kaz binds the ( unusual for him) to tie on the way to the courtroom.
