Kazimierz Papée

Kazimierz Papée ( born January 10, 1889 in Lwów, † January 19, 1979 in Rome) was a Polish diplomat.

He earned his doctorate at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and was a participant of the First World War. He fought in the Polish Legion of the Austro -Hungarian army.

After the war he entered the diplomatic service of the newly independent Poland. There he worked in various positions in Northern Europe and worked in 1929 as Consul General of Poland in Kaliningrad. Papée was a Polish Commissioner-General in the Free City of Danzig (1932-1936), Ambassador of Poland in the Czechoslovak Republic ( 1938) and long-time Polish ambassador to the Holy See ( 1939-1958 ).
