Kazimierz Żorawski

Kazimierz Kazimierz Zorawski or Zorawski ( born June 22, 1866 in Szczuczyn at Ciechanów; † January 23, 1953 ) was a Polish mathematician of Krakow mathematician school. His main interest was the Lie group, differential geometry and fluid dynamics.

Life

Kazimierz Zorawski studied 1884-1888 Mathematics at the University of Warsaw. In 1893 he earned his doctorate at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. In 1898, he was professor and ibid 1917-1918 Vice-Rector. In 1919 he became professor of mathematics at the University of Warsaw and Warsaw University. 1920 Zorawski member of Towarzystwo Naukowe Warszawskie whose Präses he was from 1926 to 1931. In 1952 he became a member of the Polska Akademia Nauk. To him, the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta was awarded.
