Marion quiet course left the band in 1985 temporarily due to the birth of her first child. In 1989, after the birth of her second child, she finally got out. 1989 Matthias Opitz (piano, keyboard, organ) a permanent member.

In the 1980s the band to thousands of concerts earned a loyal following, especially in the present state of Brandenburg. Concerts with more than five hours of play were not uncommon. The evenings were - beyond the actual appearance also - to some very heavy alcohol parties. The performances were also mostly off organized by the state-run music industry of the GDR, for example, in village pubs with its old function rooms. End of the eighties the band was briefly removed from the game permission by the State artists' organization. Texts of the title Mama tell me why and woman of gold were here the reasoning. Stylistically, the music was the early years of typical GDR Blue Rock, who got his special touch by the sometimes very poetic lyrics. From this period also dates back to her Hit Kling sound, which appeared on an album until 1993. The repertoire also included classics of international blues and rock music.

The turnaround time

Only in 1988 was the germ time in broadcasting the GDR, the opportunity to record songs professionally. Since then, they have been played on the radio - especially the youth radio station " DT64 ". The photographs were not published until 1990 debut album madhouse at Hansa Berlin. Ralf Benschu (saxophone, flute, clarinet ) became a permanent member of the band in the same year; since 1986 he had been a guest musician here.

Lyrics like " ... mislead the smart madhouse, into Parliament: The title track of the album the band a " Wendehit " succeeded. Yourself to blame, who does not recognize the signs of the times ... " spoke many GDR citizens from the heart. Eleven 99, the youth program of the GDR television, also produced a video for the title aircraft, which still supported the metaphorical effect of the song in relation to the turn of confusion: In the text line " dusted ... and off: The Boss ... " you can see with a seemingly carelessly seized in the corner picture of Erich Honecker. In addition, the band continued to tour extensively by the ( as yet) DDR and entered multiple times on television and radio.
