Keinosuke Enoeda

Enoeda Keinosuke (Japanese榎 枝 庆 之 辅; born July 4, 1935 in Fukuoka ( Kyushu ), † March 30, 2003 in Japan) was a Japanese master of karate of JKA. During his competition time you referred to him as Tora (Tiger).

Career

At the age of seven years Enoeda Keinosuke began with the training of Judo and took to the high school regularly participate in competitions. At age seventeen, he was already the holder of the 2nd Dan ( martial arts ) in Judo, but switched to karate at Takushoku University, where at that time the master Nakayama and Nishiyama taught. After two years he was also in the Karate 1st Dan.

In 1957 he successfully left the Takushoku University and was teaching as an instructor of the Japan Karate Association ( JKA ) under Master Nakayama. In 1963, he won the All -Japan Championships in Kumite. As part of the expansion policy of the JKA Enoeda taught between 1963 and 1967 in Indonesia, South Africa, the USA and England. In 1971, he broke in London Hirokazu Kanazawa as chief instructor from Europe. He remained until 2003 Chief Instructor of the JKA Europe when he died then.
