Ken Ishii

Ken Ishii (Japaneseケン·イシイ; * 1970 in Sapporo ) is a successful techno DJ and producer from Tokyo. He is also known under the pseudonyms FLR, Flare, Rising Sun, UTU and yoga.

Career

The strongly influenced by Detroit techno, Ken Ishii had his first releases in 1993, including Richie Hawtin's label Plus 8 on his album Jelly Tones from 1995 occupied the 61 spot on Rolling Stone Japan 's " 100 Greatest Japanese rock Album of All Time ".

1996 by the famous anime artist Koji Morimoto ( Akira ) designed clip was elected to his track Extra for MTV Dance Video of The Year. "Garden on the Palm " was included in the list of The Wire 's " 100 Records That Set The World On Fire (While No One Was Listening ) ".
