Kenji Suda

Kenji Suda (Japanese须 田 健 仁, Kenji Suda, born February 26, 1966 in Otaru, Hokkaidō ) is a former Japanese ski jumper.

On December 15, 1990 Suda made ​​his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping. When jumping on the normal hill in Sapporo, he was at the end of a 45 day later, he jumped from the large hill to 17th place. A year later, on December 15, 1991 he succeeded on the same jump with a 9th place for the first time into the top ten, and thus also the first win of World Cup points. At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville Suda jumped on the normal hill on the 39th and on the large hill to 17th place. In the team competition, he was together with Masahiko Harada, Jiro Kamiharako and Noriaki Kasai finished fourth. In the Ski Flying World Championships 1992 in Harrachov Suda flew on the 21th Place. From 1993, Suda began parallel ski jumping Continental Cup to compete. On March 5, 1994 he succeeded the jump in Lahti in the team competition with the team through a 2nd place for the first time on the podium. This placement he also reached a few days later in the individual competition of Örnsköldsvik. It was his only podium finish in a single World Cup competitions.

1994 and 1998 he was again each time the squad for the Olympic Winter Games, but has been used in any competition. On 5 February 1998 Suda played his last World Cup competition. For the 1998/99 season he joined exclusively in the Continental Cup and reached once more with a point to 55th place in the Continental Cup standings, before his active ski jumping career ended in 1999.
