Kenneth Moore (ice hockey)

Kenneth Strath " Ken " Moore ( born February 17, 1910 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan, † December 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player and coach. In the 1932 Olympics he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Ken Moore began his career as a hockey player in his home province of Saskatchewan. In the season 1929/30, he won with the Regina Pats of the Memorial Cup. 40 seconds left in the game, he scored the winning goal for his team during the Memorial Cup. In the 1930/31 season he won with the Winnipeg Hockey Club the Allan Cup, the Canadian Amateur Championship. Then he took in 1932 at the Olympic Winter Games Canada at the Winnipeg Hockey Club. In 1936 he won with the Kimberley dynamiters also the Allan Cup. Later he worked as a coach and in charge of the St. Boniface Athletics from the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association and the St. James Canadians.

Internationally

For Canada, Moore participated in the 1932 Olympics in part in Lake Placid, where he won the gold medal with his team.
