Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez
Kenny ' Dope ' Gonzalez ( born June 7, 1970 in Brooklyn / New York; Complete name Carl Kenneth Gonzalez ) is an American DJ and record producer.
Career
Gonzalez is the son of Puerto Rican immigrants. At first he worked as a buyer for a record store in Brooklyn and held together with Mike Delgado parties in their area. As this, however, often ran out of hand, it shifted more to the work in the recording studio. Todd Terry helped him with the studio equipment and also brought him together with Little Louie Vega. The two of them have been successful since 1990 as Remixer-/Produzenten-Duo under the name Masters at Work.
In addition, Gonzalez also published repeatedly solo recordings and projects launched, the most successful among them were The Bucketheads. Mid-90s, he took this name spontaneously the Dungeon Tapes EP in response to the commercial euro dance style on. In it he mixed old classics to new dance tracks. The song The Bomb (These Sounds Fall into My Mind ), the part is a cover of the song " Street Player " by the band "Chicago" and was released as the first single and was only developed in the United Kingdom and then in the rest of Europe a big hit.
