Kento Sakuyama
Kento Sakuyama (Japanese作 山 宪 斗, Sakuyama Kento; born July 3, 1990 Iiyama ) is a Japanese ski jumper.
Career
Sakuyama played his first international jumping FIS Cup on 5 March 2007 in Zao. For the 2007 /08 season he starts regularly in the Continental Cup.
At the Junior World Championship 2008 in Zakopane he could finish in 5th place with the team. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he could reach the 25th place in the team competition and the 6th place in the competition on the normal hill. By 2008, he jumped for the Gewerbeoberschule Nakano (中 野 実 业 高校, Nakano Jitsugyo Koko ).
As part of the FIS Team Tour 2009 he was inducted into the Japanese national team and jumped in qualifying for the ski flying event in Oberstdorf, but could not qualify as a 50 for jumping. He had the team competition on February 15, 2009 in Oberstdorf, where he reached the 9th place a day later with the Japanese team its first World Cup competition. His best-ever individual score in a World Cup competition he reached on 16 January 2010, when he finished in 21st place in Sapporo.
