On April 17, 2013 it was announced by researchers at the Kepler Telescope that the star is orbited by two planets. The telescope was able to measure the reduced brightness of the star when the planet pass seen from the Earth before its star. The mass of the planet could not yet be determined.

The outer planet, Kepler - 69c, could be Earth-like, and have rock and liquid water on its surface.
