Keppbach

The Keppbach is a tributary of the Elbe in East Dresden.
Course
It rises in the Schönfeld highlands in the north of the village Cunnersdorf and flows in a southwesterly direction to the Elbe. The most important tributary is the Schoenfelder Bach. When leaving the Schoenfelder highlands, the river deepens from about calibration Busch ( subdistrict Help Mountain ) in the rock, then orographic to open nearly 100 feet below the Elbtalweitung after almost five kilometers flow path near the church " Maria am Wasser " right into the Elbe.
Conservation
The traversed by Keppbach Keppgrund is part of the nature reserve " banks of the Elbe Dresden- Pirna ". The flood in August 2002 caused damage of 3.18 million euros in this valley.
Mills
In 1721 there were four mills on Keppbach. Three of them had ever a millstone. Today the Keppmühle is still preserved.
