Keren Ann

Keren Ann ( born March 10, 1974 in Caesarea, Israel Keren Ann Zeidel ) is a French and English musician with Dutch and Israeli roots. Keren Ann is fluent in Hebrew, English and French.

The daughter of a Dutch woman and an Israeli she lived until the age of eleven years in the Netherlands. Then grew up in Paris. Ann now lives in Paris, Tel Aviv and New York City and has the Dutch and Israeli citizenship.

In 1998, she played in the band Shelby. In 2000, she launched a solo career with her debut album La biographie de Luka Philipsen, which she wrote with Benjamin Biolay. The two also wrote the album Chambre avec vue for Henri Salvador, who thus two Victoires de la Musique won in the same year.

The song Lay Your Head Down from the album Keren Ann has been used in the context of H & M advertising campaign in a TV commercial. Their song Not Going Anywhere from the same album made ​​it into the television series Grey's Anatomy.
