The Kerkis (Greek Κέρκης, also Kerketeas Κερκετέας ) is with 1434 meters the highest mountain in the Greek island of Samos.

It is located in the west of the island, after the 1624 m high Fengari to Samothrace, the second highest mountain in the Aegean Sea, the elevations on Evia and Crete not counted.

There are several routes to climb the summit region in its barren and rocky mountain whose peak is also called Vigla. Sturdy shoes, sure, ample water supplies and adequate physical condition is required. Marathokambos is the most common starting point.

On August 3, 1989 in Thessaloniki launched aircraft of the Olympic Airways crashed on the mountain; all occupants were killed.
