Kerry Minnear

Kerry Minnear ( born January 2, 1948 in Salisbury, England ) is a British musician.

After his musical studies Minnear 1970 came as a keyboardist for the progressive rock group Gentle Giant and was there until 1980, a driving force compositional. Especially the classic -inspired passages of music originated often from his pen and gave the band their distinctive style. In addition Minnear sang alongside Derek Shulman many pieces of tape and was known for both virtuoso keyboard playing as well as exceptional vibraphone solos. He also played, among others, cello, xylophone, recorder, guitar, bass and drums.

Today Kerry Minnear lives with his wife Leslie in the Midlands in England. The two lead the label Alucard Music, which represents the interests of Gentle Giant. He is also working on solo projects and computer game music.

Minnear has a son and two daughters.
