Derek Shulman

Derek Shulman ( born February 11, 1947 in Glasgow, Scotland ) is a musician.

Shulman was between 1970 and 1980 along with his brothers Phil and Ray member of the progressive rock band Gentle Giant. Like his brothers Shulman is a multi-instrumentalist and plays the saxophone, recorder (English recorder ), keyboards, bass, drums and Shulberry ( a stringed instrument that he himself had constructed ). Derek Shulman was the main singer of Gentle Giant and with his energetic voice of the front man of the band. At performances, he also sang the parts of Kerry Minnear.

After Gentle Giant had dissolved, Derek worked as Vice - President of PolyGram Records act, for which he discovered, inter alia, Bon Jovi. Later, he was elected president of ATCO Records. Today he has his own label called DRT Entertainment founded, which he was president.
