Ketchum Pleon was formed in January 2010 from the merger of sister agencies Ketchum Pleon and, both PR agency brands in the global communications network Omnicom.

Pleon was created in 2004 from the merger of ECC Kohtes Klewes and the European part of the global PR network Brodeur. ECC Kohtes Klewes or Kohtes & Klewes had until then been in almost 20 years to the biggest PR agency in Germany. Brodeur specializes in technology companies.
