Ketil Haugsand

Ketil Are Haugsand ( born June 13, 1947 in Norway) is a Norwegian harpsichordist, conductor and professor at the Academy of Music and Dance Cologne.

Biography

Haugsand studied with Gustav Leonhardt at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he completed his studies with the Prix d'Excellence from.

Haugsand taught at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, and has made ​​numerous concert appearances at major festivals in Europe, the U.S. and Israel as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor of the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, the Arte Real Ensemble, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the NRK Radio Orchestra in Oslo and at the Komische Oper in Berlin.

He has recorded several CDs with great international resonance. In summer schools he teaches at the Academy of Ancient Music in Tomar in Portugal and Ringve International Summer Course in Trondheim, Norway.
