Kevin Ceballo

Kevin Ceballo ( * 1977 in New York City ) is an American salsa singer Puerto Rican descent.

Career

His parents emigrated from Puerto Rico to Manhattan from where Kevin Ceballo was born in 1977. They were of a stern Protestant faith, took part in the gospel choir of her church, and forbade listening to her son salsa or other light music. Kevin Ceballo interested in spite of the prohibition of his parents more and more for the salsa. On the New York High School of the Performing Arts, he aspired to a singing career and sang in his spare time for a local salsa band. In 1997, he joined the band of pianist Isidro Infante, together they recorded the album " Licencia Para engañar " on, which was released in 1998. Along with the band he had numerous international performances. For La India sang back -up on their CD " Sobre el Fuego ". In 2000, Kevin Ceballo started his solo career and produced " Mi Primer Amor", which contained more original songs "Que Clase de Hombre " and " Quiero Bailar " from him. With this album, he came into the Latin Music charts and was awarded the title " New Artist of the Year". This was followed by appearances together with Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri. 2002, he along with Celia Cruz a concert at the Verizon Music Festival in Washington DC and in 2003 he sang with Jimmy Bosch in New York's Copacabana Nightclub. In 2003 he took up along with Infante and Universal Records his fourth album "Yo Soy Ese Hombre ", which contained the title " Eterna Mente Te Amaré " a salsa interpretation of the duet by Angela Via and Frankie Negron in 2000. "Yo Soy Ese Hombre " was a great success. In 2004, he was the main act at the " Latino Fest" in Patterson Park in Baltimore, Maryland.
