Kevin Luhman

Kevin Luhman is an American astronomer. His field is the search for exoplanets and territories in the universe, which are suitable for extraterrestrial life.

Life

Luhman studied physics and astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin, where he attained his Bachelor in May 1993 and was an employee. His Ph.D. succeeded him in August 1998 at the University of Arizona. After that, he was from 1998 to 2002 at the Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and from 2002 to 2005 he was at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory operates. Since 2005 he has worked as a university teacher at the Pennsylvania State University. Luhman identified the low-mass brown dwarf OTS 44 (about 15 Jupiter masses). In March 2013, known in the international media that Luhmann has identified WISE 1049-5319 (Luhmann 16 ), a sun close double system of brown dwarfs.
