Kevin Smith

Kevin Patrick Smith [ kɛvɪn pætɹɪk smɪθ ] ( born August 2, 1970 in Red Bank, New Jersey ) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, actor and comic book writer.

Life and work

As an actor, he enters into his own films, usually in the role of the fictional character Silent Bob. He also played the role of the Warlock in Die Hard 4.0. As a comic author, he wrote, among others, series of Green Arrow (DC) and Daredevil (Marvel).

He is also known for his series of the New Jersey films. He occupied the roles in his films often with the actors Ben Affleck, Jason Lee, Jason Mewes and Walter Flanagan. Since " Mae Day" he is working with producer and friend Scott Mosier, with whom he also founded the production company View Askew Productions. He is also the owner of Jay and Silent Bob 's Secret Stash, a comic and merchandise store in Red Bank, where some scenes for Jay and Silent Bob Strike were turned back. Most of his films are set in his home state of New Jersey. Kevin Smith is married to Jennifer Schwalbach Smith since 1999. The two have a daughter named Harley Quinn, named after the Batman character.
