Khensit

Chensit (also Chensut ) is a deity of the Egyptian mythology; the meaning of its name is unknown. She was worshiped in the 20th Lower Egyptian nome as a companion of Sopdu and first appears in the Pyramid Texts of the Old Kingdom. In the late period they belonged to the circle of the goddesses of the eye and of the diadem ( uraeus ). She wears herein, the terms " uraeus of Sopdu " and " uraeus of Re". In Proverbs against the god Seth is fire goddess who sells the enemy.

Pictorial representations of Chensit are very rare and correspond to the representations of the goddesses Isis and Hathor, which Chensit was often equated. Therefore appears as a woman with cow's horns and sun disk on his head, as a woman with Maat- feather on the head or as a woman with cow's head.
